For beginners, we recommend soft tip darts with a medium weight (18–22g). They are easier to control and safer for home use.

The standard dartboard height is 5 feet 8 inches (1.73m) from the floor to the bullseye. The throwing distance (oche) is 7 feet 9.25 inches (2.37m) for steel tip darts.

Most players prefer darts between 20–26 grams. Lighter darts (18–22g) are easier to throw, while heavier darts (24–26g) offer more stability. We recommend trying different weights to find your preference.

Steel tip darts are used with bristle dartboards and are the standard for professional play. Soft tip darts have plastic tips and are used with electronic dartboards.
